The terms and conditions for buying and selling on Vaza.ng.

These Terms govern your use of Vaza (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use Vaza.
1. What Vaza is
Vaza lets sellers list items or services for sale, and lets buyers pay for them through Vaza's secure checkout, powered by our payment provider. Payments are processed directly - Vaza is a platform connecting buyers and sellers, and we are not the seller of any listed item unless explicitly stated.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract under Nigerian law to use Vaza. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account.
3. Listings
- Sellers must accurately describe what they're selling, including condition and any defects.
- Listings must not include prohibited, stolen, counterfeit, or illegal items or services.
- Vaza may remove any listing that violates these Terms without prior notice.
4. How checkout works on Vaza
When a buyer pays for an item, that payment is processed through our payment provider, and the seller is paid out promptly once payment is confirmed. The seller is expected to ship or deliver the item promptly. Once the buyer confirms delivery, the order is marked complete.
If either party disputes a transaction, Vaza will review the dispute and decide on a resolution. If a dispute is resolved in the buyer's favor after the seller has already been paid, the buyer is refunded and the corresponding amount is recorded as owed by the seller, to be deducted from that seller's future payouts on the Platform.
Vaza acts as a neutral party in this process. We make reasonable efforts to resolve disputes fairly based on the evidence available to us, but we cannot guarantee the condition, authenticity, or delivery of any item, since we are not party to the underlying sale.
5. Fees
Vaza charges a commission on completed sales, deducted from the amount paid by the buyer at checkout - the current rate is shown at checkout before you pay. We may change this rate from time to time; if we do, we'll give notice before any change takes effect for existing listings.
6. Prohibited conduct
You agree not to:
- List or attempt to sell anything illegal, stolen, or counterfeit
- Use the Platform to defraud another user
- Attempt to take payment outside Vaza's checkout (e.g. asking a buyer to pay you directly, off-platform)
- Interfere with the security or normal operation of the Platform
7. Disputes between users
If a buyer and seller disagree about an order, either party can open a dispute from the order page. Vaza will review the order details and any evidence provided and make a decision in good faith. This decision is final within the Platform, though it doesn't affect either party's other legal rights.
8. Limitation of liability
Vaza provides the Platform "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including losses related to the condition or delivery of items bought or sold through it.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using Vaza at any time, though any orders already in progress will still be resolved according to these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the date at the top of this page when we do. Continuing to use Vaza after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
